Paul has been tremendous to work with. He’s a local business owner (he owns At Home Group Realty), he’s a family man, he’s part of the community, and he’s still able to make his health a priority in his life, even with a lot of responsibility and the stress that comes with it.
He is also an accomplished athlete and came to us looking to set a personal best time in Ironman Triathlons. But he’s accomplished so much more than simply a ‘fitness/performance goal’.
With most people who want to reach their health and fitness goals, Paul knows it comes down to more than the ‘perfect program’. It takes courage to address exercise, nutrition, and mindset but Paul has worked hard and his results show.
He’s leaner thanks to the nutrition habits we’ve changed. He’s stronger and can perform pushups and deadlifts with ease. And he’s committed to the journey of improving his health and fitness.
I’m extremely proud to feature Paul’s story as our latest client spotlight!
I decided to start a program as part of my training for Ironman triathlons. Having completed 9 races over the past 12 years I wanted to have a break-through race. Starting a weight training program in conjunction with my endurance training will be a critical part of my plan to break the 12 hour mark in Ironman.
What were your 1-2 most important goals when you started?
My most important goals with starting this program was to get stronger, leaner and be able to train to a higher level of endurance.
In one to three sentences, can you describe any reservations that you had before we started working together?
I had plenty of reservations. I’ve tried the standard gym membership a number of times over the years. I was never really able to develop a plan for strength training and stick to it. I found the typical gym intimidating and difficult to utilize the equipment with confidence. I would end up doing minor strength training or endurance training on the machines until the weather was nice enough to train outdoors again.
Ben’s methods are very clear and non-intimidating. Everything is explained in detail and supervised. I feel like I have a personal 1 on 1 trainer despite being in a group setting. Ben the team have always provided a non-intimidating environment. There’s been tons of encouragement and completely non-judgemental.
What results have you achieved since starting your program?
The results have both been noticeable and subtle. Noticeable in the strength, flexibility and weight loss. Subtle in the enhanced confidence I now have in a gym environment. I feel stronger and far more confident that I will be able to meet my race goals.

Is there anything you want to add about our program that you’d want someone else to know?
Nothing to really add, I think you have a well thought out system and program. I’m happy I chose your company.
